Pellet Rifle shooters are getting better!

The informal pellet rifle shooters night has been going on for a couple of years now. The goal used to be to score a perfect score of 100, which is a bulls-eye in each of the 10 targets on the page. Now, the shooters are getting so good, the goal is to see how many perfect 100 scores you can get. On April 2nd, Jim shot two perfect targets in one night! No one has ever done that before. Good shooting Jim!

Update: On April 9th I shot 5 perfect targets in one evening. So far that is the club high for number of 100 target scores in one day for one person. However when you talk about the total number of "one hundred" targets shot overall Denver holds the record at I believe 26 or 28. I'm not trying to brag, but to point out that this can be a challenge that any shooter might be interested in taking on.

So, you might be thinking "big deal". Well it is a big deal and if you would like to see how big of a deal it is come out on Thursday evenings and try it yourself.

You see all the science that is required to shoot a powder burner is also required to shoot a pellet rifle. When you are shooting at a target that is 1 3/4" wide from 33 feet and you have to remove part or all of a dot in the center of it that is the diameter of one of the lines on your tape measure, and you have to do that ten times for one target sheet to get a 100 score, that can be quite challenging. It took most of us a year or more to get our first one hundred score.

So, if you want to have some good clean fun, a lot of laughs, and the challenge of trying for that ever elusive 100 score, come on out and join us. You will have a great time of shooting and fellowship with a lot of really great people. I know I look forward to it every Thursday.

If you are interested email me at jimt2099@yahoo.com and I will send you an email notice on Thursday as a reminder. Also, sometimes, due to outside influences, we have to reschedule for another day other that Thursday, and if we do I can email you and let you know what day we will shoot that week.
