That don't look like a shotgun!
I'll bet you didn't know that every Thursday around 6:00 pm, 6 to 10 guys (sometimes a girl too) shoot pellet rifles in the clubhouse. When the weather is warm and dry, we might be at the rifle range shooting other things, please stop over if you see anyone and introduce yourself.
We've got a nice backstop set up in the clubhouse and we shoot at targets from 10 meters (about 33 feet). There are no prizes and the only fee is $1.00 to help pay for the paper targets. Sometimes we bring food and we always have the coffee pot on. One nice thing about pellet rifles is the ammo is really cheap and it's easy to find.
Does it matter what kind of pellet rifle you have? Most of us have Daisy Avanti rifles like the one you see above. They are lower velocity (around 500 fps) and they are more accurate at 10 meters than the 1200 fps rifles you see at the average sporting goods store. Brand new they are about $300.00 (cheaper if you are a good shopper) and can be found online very easily. If you don't have one, please stop by and I promise that one of the shooters will let you try theirs out. A tin of good quality pellets are about $10 but don't buy those cheap pellets from Walmart, they kind of suck.
I'll be posting our scores online soon.
